About the Department

The Basic Science and Humanities Department is the foundation of engineering education at Jain college of Engineering and Technology,Hubballi. It offers core subjects like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to both B.E/B.Tech students.
With experienced faculty and well-equipped labs, the department ensures strong academic grounding and practical skills. Its vision is to support students’ overall development and apply basic science knowledge for industrial growth.

VISION

To educate the students to acquire the fundamental and advanced knowledge of physics and empower them to apply the concepts effectively in the field of Engineering and Technology.

To educate the students on the principles and techniques of Physics.
Encourage the student’s curiosity and assist them in understanding the fundamentals of technology.
To carry out innovative cutting-edge research in physics for industrial and societal needs.
To promote the knowledge of applied physics among the students and utilize it in the thrust areas of Engineering and Technology

VISION

To achieve the excellence in teaching, research and gain the knowledge of chemistry in engineering, and industrial applications.

MISSION

Impart the fundamental concepts of chemistry in the applications of engineering and technological aspects.
Strengthen the theoretical and practical knowledge in students.
Involving students in the research and projects of engineering with chemistry

Department of Mathematics

VISION

To impart the advanced mathematical knowledge acquired through continuous education and research in various gamets of mathematical science , Engineering and technology.

MISSION

Establish the hi-tech pedagogy for understanding the application of mathematics in day today life.
Inculcate the ability in students to apply Mathematical and computational skills to formulate and solve real life problems.
Explore the applications of mathematics, statistics and engage the collaborative research in an interdisciplinary environment
